On this page
Central Districts Purge: Part I starts only after both earlier clearing quests are complete. Finishing only the east side, or only the market square, does not open it.

Coming from an older save
Check the journal for both earlier clearing quests, then check whether the central fight is waiting, prepared, running or won. If only the market clearing is finished and the eastern clearing is not, finish the missing side rather than repeating the completed one.
An earlier on-load repair can roll back a premature central approach only when the market clearing is complete, the eastern clearing is not, the approach quest is in progress and the saved fight is in the specific prepared state covered by that repair. It returns the approach to waiting and locks the fight marker again. A missing fight record or a different saved stage is skipped; this is not a repair for every active fight.
A separate earlier repair restores the completed stage when the central victory quest is already complete but an existing fight record is at another stage. Both repairs predate this update: they apply only to saves older than their respective 1.007 and 1.007.1 cutoffs. Loading 1.008 does not mean those older repairs rerun on every save, or that rewards are paid again.
The sluice milestone during the two-part potato operation
The two battle names listed below identify this particular operation. Its pre-battle quest completion disables the sluice-area milestone interaction. Finishing only the first battle does not run the second victory quest’s action that enables this milestone.
Completing the second victory quest enables the milestone interaction and adds its work interaction. Check that quest completion separately from a victory screen or the state of another fight. For saves predating 1.008, the on-load adjustment disables this milestone while that second victory quest is not complete; the completed branch simply skips that disabling action.
If the second victory quest is recorded complete but the milestone is still unavailable, record both states. The update’s on-load branch does not promise to re-enable an already-completed but disabled milestone. Do not treat this specific rule as an all-map teleport workaround or a reason to replay a completed fight.

Compare battle item rewards
Expand the reference only if you want later battle names and rewards. Compare the exact encounter and item: not every item increases, and a removed reward must be checked separately. These item rewards are separate from trader likes and order rewards.
Show battle rewards, including late encounters
These are configured item rewards for each encounter, not technology points or a repeat-farming promise.
Arena sequence numbers are site labels for the configured encounter order, not official floor names.
A chained fight can accumulate item rewards before the final settlement. A victory screen is not proof that every item has already entered your inventory.
Item rewards are dropped near the player at settlement. Check the ground as well as your inventory before reporting a missing reward.

Changes compare each item with its earlier configured reward. They do not grant additional items for victories completed before updating.
Other battle problems
- A door or banner you cannot reach: there is no verified recovery method yet. Note the blocked location and your current quest or battle stage for later checking.
- A victory without an expected item or quest progress: compare the item reference, check the final settlement of any chained fight and look for reward drops near the player. This does not establish the cause of every missing reward. Repeating a battle or making another delivery is not a verified repair.
If your quest order does not match
If the central fight is already open while only one earlier clearing quest is complete, note both quest states and the battle stage. Repeating the finished quest is not a verified fix.
The late-story check is separate. The six people and the Red Eye lists who must reach 90 or 100.
