The six people and the Red Eye
Check the late-story reputation after the Red Eye choice.

On this page
The late story checks six people: Jack, Gunter, Agatha, Herbert, Linda and Albert. It does not ask for six gifts. Giving the Red Eye makes those conversations check 90. Keeping it makes them check 100.

I gave the Red Eye
Giving the eye spends it. The next journal step is a special sermon for the Old God. After that sermon, three conversations can finish:
- Gluttony and Pride: Jack and Gunter, both at least 90, in the Port Area near the Main Pier.
- Wrath and Sloth: Agatha and Herbert, both at least 90, at the Crossroads.
- Lust and Envy: Linda and Albert, both at least 90, at the Dockside Club.
When all three are finished, the journal says the six are convinced and sends you to the Old God in Mauritzio’s cheese cellar. The Last Battle also needs Palace Politics finished: go home and wait for Davy the Dagger. Either of those two can open the battle once the other is already complete.
I kept the Red Eye
Keeping the eye starts the attic in your home. The same three conversations then check 100 instead of 90, with the same people and places.
A separate set of deliveries can open the attic talk with the Old God. That talk starts when the sixth delivery finishes while the eye is still kept. A delivery finished earlier is not counted again.
- Prosthetic Hand to Jack. Finishing it adds 10 to Jack.
- Small Printing Press to Gunter. Finishing it adds 10 to Gunter.
- Trilogy to Herbert. Finishing it adds 10 to Agatha.
- Speech Writing Device to Agatha. The journal calls it an Automatic Writing Device. Finishing it adds 10 to Herbert.
- 10 Alchemy Flasks II to Albert. The journal calls them Bottles. Finishing it adds 10 to Albert.
- Chocolate to Linda. Finishing it adds 10 to Linda.
The journal then says the six could not be convinced and sends you to the Old God in the attic. Keeping the eye there reveals three dark talent branches. Giving it there spends the eye, cancels the 100 conversations, and starts the 90 conversations instead.
The Last Battle on this branch opens when the three 100 conversations and Palace Politics are all finished. Opening it cancels the later choice to give the eye.
Before either choice
The Red Eye is an item. The journal for the cellar says to use it on the wall to Mauritzio’s cheese cellar in the Sewers. Meeting the Old God requires the eye in your inventory and does not spend it. That meeting is what unlocks the two choices.
